About Douglas
Background and Experience
One could say Douglas has been a late bloomer in the context of ‘Know Thyself’. Growing up in a very controlling religion and family, he spent most of his life experiencing the trauma of those environments, having to suppress his sexuality and overall identity. He tried very hard to ‘get it right’, to please his family and idea of God at that time thinking that his orientation and basic sense of individuality was sinful and curable. While dealing with bouts of depression and suicidal ideation, he married 3 women, and became a father of 4 beautiful daughters before finally coming to terms with his sexuality and individual spiritual narrative. At age 43, he came out as a gay man, left the religion of his formative years and began living a more authentic and self-expressed spiritual path.
Douglas has always been interested in serving humanity in some way, helping to heal wounds of the mind and heart. He has come to realize, starting with himself, how vital it is to “Know Thyself”, to be at home in one’s Heart through self-awareness, self-acceptance, and self-love. He understands that a deep connection with yourself and with your idea of the Divine liberates you to be fully self-expressed and empowered to be awakened to a life of heart-centered consciousness. He has prepared himself through his own healing journey, honoring his past, and learning from modern and ancient sources of truth to build an extensive set of scientific and mystical tools to help others.
He has degrees in Psychology and Holistic Life Coaching. He is certified in healing modalities such as Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), Energetic Systems Maintenance, Reiki, and Emotion Code. He is an Astrologer having graduated levels 1 - 3 from the Debra Silverman Applied Astrology Program. He is a Tarot and Oracle card Reader. He is a certified Soul Transformation therapist and Soul Plan practitioner. Most recently he has acquired certification as a Self-Regulation Coach to be on the cutting edge of trauma informed intervention and address true healing of the mind, emotions, and the body.

Douglas currently resides in Salt Lake City, Utah among the Rocky Mountains as an empty nester with his newly adopted White Siberian Husky named Odin. He works from home doing face-to-face appointments and remote online coaching around the world. He is a Leo Sun, Scorpio Moon, and Virgo Ascendant.
